ABOUT DR. TAMIKO MOLÈT, FNP-c
FROM A BUILDING TO THE COMMUNITY
Molèt Health & Wellness began in a traditional clinical space. But healthcare needed to stretch beyond those walls.
The building provided a place to care for patients, but over time, Dr. Molèt recognized an important reality: having a healthcare office does not necessarily mean that everyone who needs care can reach it.
Transportation difficulties, limited mobility, demanding work schedules, caregiving responsibilities, geography, financial circumstances, and other everyday challenges can stand between people and consistent healthcare.
Dr. Molèt began asking a different question:
Instead of always asking people to come to healthcare, how could healthcare come closer to them?
That question changed the direction of the practice.
Molèt Health & Wellness expanded beyond the traditional office through telehealth, home-based visits, and community-based care — allowing the practice to meet people where life actually happens.
And sometimes, where life happens isn't inside a medical building.
It happens at home.
It happens in barbershops and churches.
It happens in schools and senior centers.
It happens in community organizations and homeless shelters.
It happens in neighborhoods where people may need healthcare but may not have an easy or consistent way to reach it.
This evolution became the foundation for
DOC ON THE BLOCK™ MOBILE HEALTH Doc on the Block™ Mobile Health is a program of Molèt Health & Wellness, PC created to bring high-quality healthcare closer to the people and communities who need it. Through the program, Dr. Molèt and her team bring healthcare into homes and trusted community spaces, including barbershops, churches, schools, senior centers, homeless shelters, community organizations, and other neighborhood locations. The goal is not simply to show up once. Doc on the Block™ is being developed around monthly community outreach visits, helping create a consistent presence in the communities it serves. These visits provide opportunities to listen to residents, better understand community health needs, identify barriers to care, provide appropriate healthcare services, and connect individuals with ongoing primary care and other resources when needed. The goal is not simply to bring healthcare into a community. It is to become a trusted and consistent healthcare presence within it. The location may change. The standard of care does not. Healthcare without walls. Dignity without conditions. A WHOLE-PERSON APPROACH TO PRIMARY CARE Dr. Molèt believes good healthcare begins by seeing the person before the diagnosis. Her approach integrates primary and preventive care with chronic disease management, mental health support, medication management, patient education, and care coordination. But clinical treatment is only one part of caring for someone. A person's transportation, home environment, responsibilities, family support, access to resources, and ability to follow a treatment plan can all affect health. For Dr. Molèt, whole-person care means asking not only: “What condition are we treating?” but also: “What does this person need to become healthier?” That philosophy guides care whether a patient is seen through telehealth, at home, or in the community. BRINGING CARE CLOSER Today, Molèt Health & Wellness, PC uses multiple approaches to make healthcare more accessible while maintaining continuity of care. Telehealth allows patients throughout Georgia to connect with the practice without always traveling to a traditional office. Home-based visits bring appropriate healthcare services closer to patients who may face mobility, transportation, or other barriers. Community-based care creates opportunities to reach people in familiar and trusted neighborhood settings. Doc on the Block™ Mobile Health extends that commitment into communities through organized outreach and mobile services. These are not separate philosophies of care. They are different ways of fulfilling the same purpose: bringing thoughtful, consistent healthcare closer to the people who need it.
